GREEN LIVING and VEGAN COMMUNITIES

GLOBAL ECO VILLAGE NETWORK
GEN offers inspiring examples of how people and communities can live healthy, cooperative, genuinely happy and meaningful lifestyles --- beacons of hope that help in the transition to a more sustainable future on Earth. We foster a culture of mutual respect, sharing, inclusiveness, positive intent, and fair energy exchange.

DANCING RABBIT ECO VILLAGE
Dancing Rabbit is an ecovillage and intentional community of about 50 people set amid the hills and prairies of rural northeastern Missouri. Our goal is to live ecologically sustainable and socially rewarding lives, and to share the skills and ideas behind that lifestyle.

ECOFOREST.ORG
Ecoforest is a raw eco-community and natural health / simple living education project in southern Spain, where the situation is changing. We need help to keep this project going, or something similar - mainly we need people if we are to keep it going as it is, otherwise we want to find ethically minded folk to become owners of this special place. At the moment we normally just have 2 or 3 people living at Ecoforest at any given time, plus any visitors there might be.

GREEN VALLEY VILLAGE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
We are an intentional community of approximately 35 people,  including perma-culturists, artists, builders, re-thinkers and more.  Our unique land offers a large pond, year-round creek, forest, as well as small scale commercial-agricultural.  The seven existing homes provide for unique living opportunities at what once was an ancient Pomo village site.

LA ECO-VILLAGE
The Los Angeles Eco-Village is located in the Koreatown area in the city of Los Angeles, California and it intends to demonstrate processes for lower environmental impact and higher quality of living patterns in an urban environment.

OKODORF ECOVILLAGE
The Ecovillage of Sieben Linden is a social and ecological settlement in Altmark in the region of Sachsen-Anhalt (former East Germany). The concept for this Ecovillage came up around 1989. After 4 years, in 1993, a group of people bandied together to purchase a "project center" in order tomore effectivly search for land to settle on - and to promote the concept to politicians and others. In 1997 they found the land that we have (and continue to) built the Ecovillage of Sieben Linden on - located 25 km south of the project center.  At Sieben Linden we aim to provide a model for a future way of life in which work, leisure, economy, ecology, urban and rural culture can find a balance. We are searching for the answers to the pressing issues of our time; looking for human-centred solutions in a place of creativity and learning. This model intends to show how humans can live more responsibly with nature; that human communities need not exploit or destroy nature but can make a positive contribution towards the quality and diversity of the environment.

STEPPING STONES HOUSING COOPERATIVE

The housing co-operative provides accommodation for people who wish to live with others and work towards a co-operative and ecological future.

STEWARD COMMUNITY WOODLAND
A permaculture project which aims to demonstrate the value of integrating conservation woodland management techniques with organic growing, traditional skills and crafts and low-impact sustainable living. Located in Moretonhampstead in the Wrey Valley, Devon, United Kingdom.

SUNDOG ECOVILLAGE MONTANA

TAMERA HEALING BIOTYPE 1
The "Healing Biotope 1 Tamera" in Southern Portugal is an international training and experimental site for the development of peace research villages and healing biotopes worldwide. Under the motto "Think Locally, Act Globally," approximately 200 people live, work and study in Tamera.
